Between me and Stella, we have about 18 years experience of spinning. We have spun everything from the BANANA FIBRE to wool Possum to cotton. We thought it would be great to have a challenge. This is where you can help we will both spin the same wool Blue faced Leicester cross HOG which means its a lamb, the first shearing. SOFT BEAUTIFUL and SUPER to knit with. We are going to dye it the same colour, then spin it up. This will be posted each week over 4 weeks or so. You can follow our progress from start to finish. Now the exciting part. Me and Stella live miles from each other so only speak on the phone. So we thought it would be great to see what we come up with, will it be the same or different? EVERY PERSON WHO COMMENTS will be entered to win the YARN SPUN. SO 2 people will receive 100g of the yarn. The more you comment eg each week the more chances to win.
YOUR FIRST CHANCE TO BE ENTERED. What colours should we use? PICK 2 or 3 COLOURS which you think we should use. Its your choice.

Ooh, fun! Color ideas: Blues. Greens. Eastery.
Claude Monet Waterlilies colors-please
Oh I like that one Daneen
Shades of blue or purple would be lovely!!
Purple, blue or turquoise :D
SO Blue is in the lead.....followed by blue greens
and waterlillies....
C'mon more please, Whats the FAV colourway. (I am hoping my fav comes up coz Stella hates it lol)
Oh posted at the same time as Jenny, Purple quickly coming back in the running.
Pinks and browns. love those together.
Great idea, for me sky blue with aqua blue with a handful of sand thrown in - yes that's right memories of the beach - good luck with this - Jen xx
Turquoise blue, orangey yellow and moss green. It seems to be coming up lot for me right now, vert retro!
great idea!, i would love to see oranges ,yellow and even purples in there too!
Ooh what a great idea Zoe! Hmm now, well I think as it's the first wool of the spring I think something very spring like would be lovely. I'd like it to be a mixture of pale pinks, earthy browns and crisp fresh green like a blossom tree.
- My 'word verification' for leaving this comment is 'farting' - how pleasant!!
Blues
Greens
But Waterlilies are ALWAYS good! LMAO (since my first name is Monet)
Omg, this would be sooo divine to win! My Mum has been talking about knitting me a little something...
Baby blues and baby pinks ;-)
i personally love turquoise mixed with orche yellow but not sure how this would knit up.
How about coral reds and pinks?
I think a really pale green, or a really bright blue! Or maybe a really vibrant spring green!
I think Duck Egg blue and chocolate brown...I also like the sound of Amanda's idea of turquoise and ocher yellow!!!
Soft gray, buttery yellow and a bit of natural would make for a beautiful spring blend.

Sounds great! I'm going for teal, hot pink and purple. Scrummy! Good luck, can't wait to see how everything comes out! I'm sure they will be different due to a variety of factors!
Why not blue/green/red something vibrant and happy :D
You tweeted, I shall answer:
YOUR fave colorway-fuchsia,brown and coral or perhaps, fuchsia, black and white-how's that for a guess?
For you Zoe I'd say Plum, fuschia and black? x x x x
I think bright, sunny Yellow and an eastery Lime Green would be nice. Maybe a touch of Hot Pink. ^_^
commenting after you tweeted....how about pinky plum and navy?
Another vote for blues and greens - it's definitely the right time of year for them.
periwinkle, purple, pink
My vote is for red and orange, summery!
bluey pinks with lime and olive - like heathers on the moor under dapples of sunlight.
I can't wait to see what you both decide.
Ok, I'll jump in...you tempted me Zoe! LOL
Sage green...love that colour! I so need a nice big wooly scarf in that for next winter! lol
